CITI2.0 is actively involved in addressing skill gaps, enhancing employability, and fostering industry-academia collaboration through a range of initiatives:

We’ve taken a step further with “Udyog Jyothi”, an ambitious initiative envisioned by Kozhikode District Collector, Mr. Snehil Kumar Singh IAS. This collaborative effort focuses on: Bridging skill gaps between students and industry demands, increasing employability, Promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship and enhancing government service utilisation. We are proud to see the District Administration and industry come together to address the pressing issues of skill development, employability, and entrepreneurship. Together for a brighter, more innovative future for Kozhikode and Malabar.

Emphasizing the dual facets of its growing technology capabilities and unparalleled tourism potential, KTX seeks to create a distinctive platform. This platform will not only accentuate Kozhikode's strengths but will also explore the myriad possibilities that emerge from the synergies between technology and other vital sectors. It builds bridges between the Malabar region, Middle Eastern nations, and India's tech ecosystems. This flagship event highlights Kozhikode's progress in infrastructure, healthcare, education, quality of life, diverse talent, and its vibrant startup culture. By showcasing the city's growing technological potential alongside its exceptional tourism appeal, KTX aims to establish a dynamic platform. This platform not only celebrates Kozhikode's strengths but also explores the immense opportunities at the intersection of technology and key sectors such as tourism, footwear, real estate, food processing, and beyond.

  • HR Conclave: Engaged HR managers to understand industry challenges and gather actionable insights.
  • Academic Leadership Meet: Collaborated with college principals and placement coordinators, leading to the creation of guidelines for effective placement cell functioning—now piloted in 10 colleges.
  • Industry Representatives Meeting: Finalized programs to align student skills with industry needs, including: Pre-placement training sessions. Summer and winter internships. Industry visits and workshops for students and faculty and CSR-aligned mentorship programs and entrepreneurship development initiatives.
  • Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode: One of the stakeholders of CITI2.0 also conducted sessions on effective functioning of placement cells to faculty and student coordinators of colleges.

In this unique transformative journey the stake holders of CITI2.0, all the colleges, industry leaders, and the District Administration team are collaborating in making this initiative a reality — together, paving the way for a brighter and more innovative future for Kozhikode !
